Profile

Dr Jessica Tan is a certified Orthodontist specializing in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at McGill University, completed a one-year residency at Montreal Children’s Hospital, then graduated from Northwestern University with her specialty degree in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree.

Dr Jessica Tan was the first female orthodontist to practice in the Ottawa area and has been practicing here since 1996. She established her orthodontic practice in Stittsville in 2003. She currently serves on the dental faculty for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, providing orthodontic care for children and adolescents with cleft lip and palate and complex craniofacial abnormalities.

In childhood, she discovered a love for orthodontics during summers spent in Montreal helping in her aunt’s orthodontic office. In her time away from the office, Jessica enjoys active living on her farm, (she is known as the accidental gardener), participating in outdoor sports, playing the piano and spending time with her family, horses, llama and cats.
